hey guys, so i'm trying to build a talkbox... basically i have a 3inch speaker that i have directioned up a tube blah blah blah..

anyways.. i can get my ipod to play through the speaker when i plug it in, so i know the speaker works and stuff like that, but when i try and plug it into the headphone out of my amp, i don't get any sound... i thought it might be a stereo issue, so i switch the wiring without any luck..

now i just took apart a 1/4 inch cable and soldered those wires onto the speaker but no luck there either..

anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

EDIT^^ I now think that this might be an issue with it being a passive speaker.... but then i think, wait, aren't headphones passive?

WHY DOES THIS WORK WITH MY IPOD BUT NOW HEADPHONE OUT ON MY AMP
My Guitars:
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Epiphone AJ
Ibanez Strat Copy

I made one, too.

Anyway, if you have a stereo jack for it, then that's not right. You want a mono jack. It's also quite possible that the headphone jack is bad. Have you tried it with regular headphones instead of the speaker?
Send me a PM if you try that stuff and it still doesn't work. I'll help as best I can.
