So I have been working on my speed lately, but all of a sudden, I lost it all today. Whenever I try to go as fast as I was the last few days my wrist and brachioradialis burn like crazy. WTF is going on?! It is so frustrating I can't even play. My speed has gone back to where I was about three years ago. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN OVERNIGHT?! Anyone who has experienced this before?

Did you warmup?

I can go from 60bpm to 120bpm, then back down to 60-70bpm the next day if I forget to warmup.

Just have an off-day all day long, sometimes just a few hours.

I avoid playing a bit, chill, relax, stretch my fingers, then go back to playing.

And I like slow melodic riffs. haha... I just play fast to be ABLE to..

Please add me if as a friend I helped! (I like to think I'm a friendly person)

I'll try your advice. But this has NEVER happened to me before, it is really strange.

We all have off days.

I made a riff, I'd say its roughly 70-80bpm. Pretty slow and chill, could play it perfectly when I made it up.

Played it 2 hours later, horrible failed at it.

Played it 6 hours after failing, could play it even smoother.

happens to me sometimes...you work on for long time..right? you think its routine. But its off muscle memory. If your muscles ache or are tired chances are that you need a break for a day..!
