Hey,
I'd like to start off by saying that im not sure if this belongs here...
But i think it does...

well...

i'm pretty sure you can run a Guitar and Synth through the same amp,
by using an A/B switcher but in reverse,

But is there any way you can do it at the same time?

I tried with a cheap squire, and keyboard both plugged into a cheap splitter....

and the keyboard was fine, but the guitar was sooooo quiet!

but if i do the same thing but keyboard and KORG DS-10 through the splitter,
they are both loud and fine...

and playable at the same time....

Is there something i'd need for the guitar?

It probably isn't a very good idea to run a synth through a guitar amp. They're not made to handle the frequency range of synths.

You don't want to be blowing out your speaker when you go to play bass lines.

Yeah, you'll kill the speaker. You could however run them both through a bass amp without issue.

so, just a Bass Cabinet?

or both bass head and cab?
