I know this will be a controversial thread, but with crap like Whitechapel on the tour, but I figure with Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, and some other decent bands metal on the tour, I could put this thread here.

Anyways, who is going? I am going to the Toronto show. I am just wondering how they will do the multi-stage thing in smaller venues like the Molson Ampitheatre.

Main Stage:
Marilyn Manson
Slayer
Bullet For My Valentine
Killswitch Engage

Jagermeister Stage:
Trivium
All That Remains
God Forbid
Jägermeister Battle of the Bands winner[3]

Hot Topic Stage:
Cannibal Corpse
Behemoth
Job For A Cowboy
The Black Dahlia Murder
Whitechapel

I'm only interested in a couple of these bands but I still plan on going.

How much are the tickets?

I'd go for Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and Black Dahlia murder so if the tickets are more than 30 bucks, no way. I think it's safe to assume I won't be attending this.

I went last year and it was $35 plus tax.

But yea, I'm going for Slayer, God Forbid, and the whole Hot Topic stage.
#6
Ehhh I was thinking about going to the Toronto show but there are really only 2 bands I feel are worth seeing so there's not much of a point. I'll wait until Cannibal Corpse comes around with their better tour (The Faceless, Neuraxis, and Obscura).
#7
I thought Marylin Manson was done. Who cares about him anymore since that Columbine thing.
#10
Who's with me for walking around during the whole main stage set until Slayer? lololol
#11
I want to go ONLY to see Behemoth, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse and the Black Dalhlia Murder. I'm not sure if it's worth it though...
#14
God... All these "metal" fests are just terrible nowadays.

They're also the only Metal bands in the whole festival. Plus I don't like TBDM at all and only really like Slayer's First two and South of Heaven...

The tour's always been boring and worthless. Seriously, the only band worthwhile last year was Dragonforce (and that's because my faggotry is over 9000). This year is better no doubt, but even then I'm not a big CC or Behemoth fan. Slayer is the only band I'd go for, but really only if they played alot of early material...

I know the tour always sucked, it still kinda bugs me seeing all these terrible metalcore bands in with bands like Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth.

That just makes it worse that they're on tour with all these horrible Metalcore bands.

Am I the only one here that really finds them boring to begin with?

Slayer would be worth it if they played through all of Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits

Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth! who are you people who won't go to see that!

Agreed. I would sit through endless core-faggotry for that.

EDIT: Invader: Yeah...

I plan on going to see CC, Behemoth, TBDM and Slayer. If thats the order they are playing in, then I plan on leaving after Slayer is done so I don't have to watch Marilyn Manson.

First off, why, with so many x-core bands, should this be allowed on the metal forum (even with Slayer, TBDM, Behemoth and CC)? Like I said in another thread, this is like some cruel mockery of metal.

The only band I would want to see is Behemoth anyways...*grumbles*

Also,

I'm pretty sure their managers/tour bookers are trying to see how much they can fuck with them.

EDIT: Sorry mods, didn't realize this thread was so old...

Im hopfully going to the one in scanton PA, Im going to see Slayer, bfmv, killswitch engage, and cannibal corpse

No shows in NY (suprise), so I'm probably gonna head to Boston for it. It's only worth going for CC, Behemoth, and somewhat Slayer. If it weren't for the fact that I wanna go to Boston for a skate trip as well, I definitely wouldn't bother. And I wanna see the trademark bible tear.

Edit: Very agreed about Slayer, Powerslave.

And, you think this is something new that death metal bands are touring with crappy core/pop bands? No. It's been happening for some time now, especially with CC and Behemoth. They're constantly getting booked with this crap. It sucks.

Ehhhh I might be going to the same show. Only problem is I don't really like CC or Behemoth. Slayer probably won't play any songs from their early stuff...

Edit: Nvm, won't have the chance to go anyways.

This really isn't a Metal festival.

It's a 2-3 Metal band festival with -core bands.

And all of you saying "It's always be horrible"

... the tour has only been around for one year....

Though it was horrible.

To you I guess.

They had Mastodon last year, and some other bands I enjoyed, that I don't really remember besides The Red Chord, who are amazing live.

Hot topic stage, thats gas. Quite a misleading name for this festival, maybe someone will get their ear plugs snagged on a studded belt or something, leading to MAYHEM. Gayhem if you ask me.

I want to try that while playing the opening riff to "Tempting Time".

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

Well it's deathcore/metalcore, so from the stage you'll see a flood of gauged ears, crew cuts, studded belts, and tight jeans.

Gonna see mayhem:

I don''t think its worth it to go just to see Slayer and Cannibal Corpse since they mostly just play their new stuff anyways.
