every tone sounds exactly the same as the next except with some fake sounding effect on it. dont waste youre time with it. it sucks. everything is so fake sounding with it.

if you want a modeling amp try the roland cube. i tried the spidervalve and wasnt impressed with it really. the spider deries is awful, look around for something else, i had a roland cube and was impressed for a SS amp.

Line 6 do great modelling amps, such as the Flextone III and the Vetta II. But the Spider III is an exception.
The Cube, the Vox AD, the Peavey Vypyr and the Line 6 Flextone are the best in that bracket.

As a low wattage practice amp they are ok. There is much better to be had in the higher wattage size. But spiders do have some serious reliability issues. They tend to get alot of different electric gremlins soon after the warranty runs out if they get that far. When they get weird or stop working they are disposable. To get any real use out of the onboard FX you have to buy the FBV pedal to go with em which can double to sale price. And they dont take to external pedals very well. Only thing they really have going for them is they are cheap.
