My new baby, just arrived today
it's a 2008 Gretsch White Falcon, purchased 2nd hand from Ebay, unscratched, barely touched, the pickguard is the only thing slightly blemished and that's a tiny mark on the edge that's hardly noticeable.

that one is from the ebay auction and these ones were the crap ones I took on my imac just before.

OMG! I hate you, that's my all time favorite guitar.
How much did you get her for?

*with Borat voice*
Very nice, how much!?

$2500US off Ebay, rounded up to roughly $5k NZ but they retail for around 10 grand here so I consider myself lucky. This is basically my early graduation present for myself for when I finish university in 2 and a half years

Haha, I expected that sentence to finish with "in 6 months," not with "in 2 and half years," because that makes it quite an early present.

So basically you were just looking for any excuse to buy the guitar?

I'm not surprised, it's beautiful.

DON'T MAKE ME DESTROY YOU!

I think it would be worth my while to go down to Otago and steal that.
It's not that much from Wellington to there is it?
Damn, super nice guitar.
It's a shame about the exchange rate though

Light? I always thought Gretsch semi-hollowbodys were fairly heavy as standard.

Na this one is really hollow, so it's pretty darn light.

I'll trade it for both your Fenders
No I take it back!!!

DRUZEDIT: To give you a clue of how light it is, in it's case it weighs about the same as my Epi Les Paul and less than my Double neck, which is really light for a double neck as the 12 string side is semi-hollow. And out of the case, it's lighter than my Tele, which is also incredibly light for a tele

Damn I really wanna play one know lol. I wish my local guitar shop was better but there all such snobs in there they never let you play anything over about £1000 unless you pretty much wave the cash in front of there faces. They had one of these in the window once (think it might still be there, don't go there much) I did ask if I could give it a go as I was interested in the guitar but they just straight out said no =[

Lighter than your tele huh? Well I'm assuming it probably weighs the same as my strat then.

How does she sound? Upload some clips?

EDIT: I am shocked to find out that they are available in left-handed.
