I know its disturbing with "which should i get" threads but im so noobish in whats good and whats not.
i´m gonna buy a new guitar sometime in the future. I'm not gonna do like some people who buys like 5 guitar just for the sake of having.
i play mostly metal and every form of rock... almost.
i don't really know whats best for which genre but i've heard LP's are quite good for rock and such.
i dont wanna spend much more than 300 Euro but a little over is okay.
i dont want a squier(too cheap), fender(too ugly), gibson(overpriced) or harley benton(no). i would prefer(dont know how its spelled) if its a SG, LP or Explorer.
Btw, go with the prices at thomann.

Well, really good guitars usually don't go under 500, 600 quid, but I'd say your best bet is an Ibanez.
Current gear:
Carvin CT6M
TC Electronics Dark Matter distortion
Harley Benton 2x12, with Celestion V30s
Laney Ironheart 60w tube amp

dude dont get an ibanez. if you want a LP , SG, or explorer, then get a Epiphone (made by gibson but cheaper) model of one of those. otherwise i love schecter for that metal/hard rock sound

I would take a look at some ESP models, some Ibanez, and some Schecters as well. Wide selection of guitars out there.
Some things to thing about:
Pickups? HH, HSH? HSS? Think about configuration and versatility you may or may not need.
Wood? Different woods produce different tones. I suggest staying away from Agathis bodied guitars, and look more into Mahogany, Alder, or Basswood.
Tremelo? Do you need a Floyd Rose or not? No use buying a Floyd equipped guitar if you're not going to use it, it will become more of a hassle than anything if it goes unused.
Neck? Look into the different neck, and if possible, try them out. There is a huge connection between playability of a guitar and the shape (and quality) of its neck.

Hope this helps. If you give us some more specs for what you are looking for, we can help you more.

Happy Hunting!

well anything is better than my squier strat
i've changed my mind and dont want an SG, so the choise is between explorer and LP.
also, how much would a hardcase cost for the guitar? i travel very much so it would be good to have.
