Hey everyone; a question for all the theory heads out there. What is the scale used in the melody of the godfather theme. I initially thought it was harmonic minor, but I don't think this is the case. Does anyone have any idea?

Here's a link to a vid of Slash playing it (from 0:20 onwards):

Thanks!

Very likely the major or minor scale, just like 99% of Western music.
Someones knowledge of guitar companies spelling determines what amps you can own. Really smart people can own things like Framus because they sound like they might be spelled with a "y" but they aren't.

stephen rettie your think of Phrygian Harmonic, but personally i'd just say C#minor with chromatics.
