so, ive been playing for about 9 months now and making good progress. but now i want to start recording my work. most of it is just covers but i still want to record them. can some one tell me a decent yet basic/cheap setup for recording? i would really like to just mic my amp because i really like the tone but i was also thinking of getting one of the recording sofwares and use the effects on those. im a total noob when it comes to recording so if you guys could help me out id be very thankful!
