Needs to be pretty universal. $600. Like as far as music tastes, or in a guitar?

Um. What kind of music you play on guitar perhaps?
I didn't think we would ever make enough money to pay rent by playing music.

I play different types of music....I thought one of the points of an acoustic guitar was to be versatile....

I have a Seagull Entourage Mini Jumbo and it is really good, the electroacoustic version is around $470 so you should check it out.

get a Dean V electric-acoustic, or a Fender one

Please, for the love of all that is good and true and holy, tell me you're kidding. I beg of you.

TS, the guy that said Seagull 25th Anniversary gave you some good advice. Although, the A/E model is spruce/flamed maple, so if you don't want a bright sounding guitar, I would look elsewhere.

Oh, and it doesn't matter what genre you play, just the kind of sound you prefer. Warm, bright, balanced, etc.
