it was 3170 for both eyes. i was in and out in less than an hour. i had it done yesterday and the only side effect so far is that my eyes feel a bit dry, but they said that will go away within the week. It was really cool, they gave me a sedative and let me listen to beethoven and the only thing i felt was a little bit of pressure around my eye. not bad at all. and now i can freakin see!!

hah nope. the best way to describe it was like a cheese grater. it just slices a little flap that he lifts up so the laser can work.

Oh that's so comforting to know that it's not like a knife but a cheese grater.

Nope. Probly won't ever need it, because by the time I need vision correction, they'll probably have something more advanced and all that good stuff. Right now I have 20/20

I'm only 15 right now but I have terrible vision but when I'm 20 I'll probably get Lasik.
I'ma wait like 5 years to see if theres any long term side effects and the technology will probably be better and the cost will be less.

the only bad thing was i had to keep bandages over my eyes for 24 hours.

I lol'd when I read that because I immediately thought of you as this:

But, that's pretty cool. Glad you can see now. If it really wasn't that bad, I might get it done also.

I used to have a lazy eye, and they corrected that with a nasty nasty surgery. Most people get it when they're really young, like under 3 years. I got it at 14 (almost 6 years ago) and it was hell. They cut the muscle on both sides and sewed it back in place with sutures. The next day while I was awake, they yanked on the sutures with tweezers and I felt everything. Not fun. The scars aren't noticeable unless I'm wearing contacts, which irritate the scars, or if I'm high (I'm a few months clean right now).

are you sure about that.? my ex-gf a couple years ago was going to get it but because she was 17 the doctor said she wasn't old enough and that doing it now would mean that your eyes had time to go bad again. resulting in requiring the same surgery again in a few years...

So if you're conscious while all this is going on, do you have to keep looking in the exact same direction (ie keep your eye perfectly still)? Because I don't think I could trust myself to do that.
