I bought The Jester Race like 2 years ago and never really played it. I listened to it the other day and realised what an awesome album it was.

So i listened to some of their new stuff and personally i thought it was nothing compared to their old stuff. I still want to add to my collection however so could anybody tell me at what point did they change their sound? ie. which are the good albums compared to the jester race?

clayman is their best by far imo... other really good albums are come clarity and the latest sense of purpose... but anyone who likes in flames needs to listen to clayman!
Take it to the Recommendation thread/In Flames thread please.

Thank ye.

clayman ftw, they really changed at clayman, so i think anything before that ( i.e whoracle, colony) is more melodic death metal, clayman and anything recent is pretty metalcore.

Yes, poop.
