To me the most awesome sounding chord is:

----0----
----0----
----6----
----7----
----7----
----5----

I think its an Amaj7 but not too sure, I am currently tackling music theory...

this looks difficult to do on my acoustic without a capo...

Its a barre chord. You can play it with a capo but everything else will be a half step down as well. Use your 1 finger to cover the first fret and 2,3,4 to play the C.

Over and over for 5 minutes straight.

But if I have to pick something, I really like the sound of going from Em to C.

This thread proves Gigatiran is awesome, and a lot more awesome than your average awesome. I bet he even owns a duster like Dennis Reynolds.

Can you have a chord that is both a minor and a suspended chord at the same time? I am pretty sure a suspended chord is a chord without a 3rd, but if it is minor then it has a minor third in it.

Anyway, my favorite chord is Dsus2 (which is similar to his, but no where near as chaotic sounding...it sounds very pretty and mysterious at the same time...sort of dream like.)

e:--0----
B:--3----
G:--2----
D:--0----
A:--0----
E:--x----

Technically you can play the low E string open and it is still the same chord, but it would be inverted...for all you non-theory people: basically a different note is the lowest, so it sounds a little different, even if its the same chord. Specifically, with the low E sounding it sounds a little muddy and sort of complex sounding...I prefer the happy light sound of the Dsus2 without the low E plucked

EDIT: sorry, just had to include this next bit :P
Another cool chord is the Dsus4 chord (I love suspended chords, can you tell?)
it is:
e:--3----
B:--3----D
G:--2----
D:--0----
A:--0----
E:--x----

It sounds dream like, much like the Dsus2, however the Dsus4 sounds a little livelier...like its a happy dream, whereas the Dsus2 sounds more like a normal pretty ok dream. if you want a bad dream, I suppose the way to go would be a fully diminished 7th chord or something......anyway, enough rants...Go Dsus2 and Dsus4!

Yeah i have questioned the theory behind it, seeing as the Sus does remove the need for the 3rd as it is. To be fair i was just playing around with a Dm shape and changing a few of the notes around

I worked out what i thought would be the best name for it afterwards.

Either way Sus chords are always fantastic things to use

Yeah, besides the amazing Em chord, this is probably my favorite except I usually play it as...

e:--x----
B:--3----
G:--2----
D:--0----
A:--0----
E:-------

....because it sounds better than playing an open E string.

E played like this is also really nice. I often use uncommon positions for common chords to end songs or to improvise.
