Im gearing up to get a Fender 1968 fender thinline tele and want to know if its any louder unplugged than a regular solid body........

i think it should be a bit louder but i have no idea for the actual difference. you'll most likely be able to practice with it in a quiet room but that's about it.

i have an ibanez ag small bodied hollow and i can use it as an acoustic instrument in my room for practicing. it's not louder than a nylon stringed guitar but it definitely HAS acoustic qualities.

Didn't know that they made Thinlines in 68....

In anycase, there is a differance. It's not the most astounding increase in unplugged volume that you'll ever hear, but it is louder than the standard bodied teles.
