Thanks to the recession (and the increasing ratio of USD to CDN rate), I found my guitar playign habit changed

Before:
1) Only tube is good enough, even in practice
2) New string about every 3 monthes

Now:
1) Meh, even that flexwave (from CPB150) is good
2) Doubt I will change strings for a while

What about you guys?

The strings on my Jaguar have been on since i removed the Bigsby, mid-January.
I took the tuning machines out of my SG a month ago, and still haven't been able to afford replacements.

I'm a student so I'm used to only being able to afford to change my strings once every 6 months, I think the only way the recession has affected me is that I definitely can't afford a Rickenbacker now.

3 months? If I leave mine on for more than a month and a half they start breaking.

I took a pic of myself, cut a hole in the face and stuck my knob through so i could see what I'd look like if I got bitten by a radioactive elephant.

Most people here are kids, so most wont be severly affected by the recession. I seem to have bought more lately to be honest, only because I'm still building my rig up though.

if i could quote the great Buddy Guy from his concert at the Fox thearte in detroit:

"People don't know what the blues is about, that's the problem. Wait a couple months, you'll know what the fuck the blues is about."
