Would a Peavey classic 30 be loud enough for band practice or even small gigs or would i need to upgrade it?
Thanks in advance,

I played a ton of 100-300 person shows a few years ago with a classic 30. Just mic it up at gigs. The thing has no headroom though.

^This is true. You won't be able to play gigs with really clean cleans. They dirty up at around 4 volume.

You can get a bit louder if you roll off some volume on your guitar, but even still, it wouldn't be enough.

SO

If you are gigging mostly with distortion, then go right ahead and buy it. They are great.
