Ok, so my parents agreed to pay for half of my cab if I make straight A's this semester. If I accomplish this, what cab should I get? I'm debating between an avatar 1x12 OR a marshall mg 4x12 cab. Open to suggestion and comments. (under $300 would be lovely.)

if you want good suggestions people would need to know what your head is.

Yeah what kind of head do you have?

Avatar makes great cabs if you're on a budget. Got my 4x12 with v30's for 250.

I have an Epiphone Valve Junior.

in that case i'd get the avatar 1x12.

The only good thing about the MG series IMO is the price.

why would you want to put the bitrate down?
to make it smaller without hearing any change in quality that the human ear can detect?
Does not compute for the audiophile

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
