In case you do not want to watch the following videos below to hear them because you'd rather look them up yourself or already heard them, I want the sound of Sonic Youth's Cover, I'm Not There, The Jesus and Mary Chain's Just Like Honey, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart's Contender, and Dirty on Purpose's No Radio, and Peter Bjorn and John's Objects of my Affection
What pedals/effects can give me this delicious hazy thin shoegazing glory

Don't really care for those other bands, but I love The Jesus And Maty Chain and their sound is one of the least complicated out there -- just overdrive your amp. Simply crank the gain and turn up the volume on your amp, no tricks with their sound. Listen to it. It really is just a sparkling clean overdriven sound. Don't look to pedals for their sound. You have the tools already - turn up your guitar to ten and then overdrive your amp.

I don't know, I just listened to the first vid. It seems like you want pretty much an overdriven amp, or but if for some reason you can't do that and/or get an OD pedal, just put REALLY light gain on
My Setup
Epiphone SG
Ibanez RG2EX1

Line 6 Vetta
Peavey Vypyr 15 for teh lulz

The Jesus and Marcy Chain get their tone from a Shin-Ei fuzz. They don't make them any more, but Tym Guitars makes a clone.

CasinoEpiphone- JMC also drive their amps very hard, but it's primarily the Shin-Ei.

I'm pretty sure Sonic Youth use a USA Big Muff somewhere also.

Thanks. To me The Jesus And Mary Chain sound was always just a smoke and mirrors sound. It sounds like they are using tons of effects all mixed up to create this wall of sound (chorus, flanger, distortion, overdrive, reverb...), but one can get their sound simply by really overdriving the amp, EQ it, and add heavy reverb.
Never knew about that fuzz pedal. Thanks.
