Read before you vote

If you had the choice of being invincible, would you take it?

Now this means that you can't die, can't be killed, nothing can harm you, you can't even commit suicide. Meaning that you'll be alive FOREVER....the flip side is that millions and millions of years after every human is gone, you'll still be here. Even after the earth is gone, the sun has died, you'll still be alive ... just floating in space.

mortal life

although, a more striking question would be: live forever, or die right now? (and I mean right now)

Well you could stumble upon some alien race like a million years down the line and co-exist with them.

I honestly can't decide. I'm sure after so many years something will happen where I can just make friends....

EDIT: I think I would do it, cause then I'd be a ****ing god.

I'm sure it would be cool for the first couple hundred thousand years... but then it would get so monotonous and useless. I'm more interested in death. I want to see what happens afterwards.

I voted for mortality.

i wouldn't mind living longer though. like 200 years or something like that.

but definitely not forever.

It'd suck so bad to live forever. You'd be the last person standing on Earth whenever it met it's fate. And if you were invincible, then you'd still be alive when that happened, and god knows that'd suck. Haha, get it, God is knows that the end of the Earth will suck? .

I would die. Have you ever seen the movie highlander. Remember all the depression he went through. It better to leave then stay.

Yeah that might be cool...

But what about this: When you are young, everything seems to take forever compared to when you are older and things seem to happen faster. I think thats because 1 hour of your life when you are younger is a larger fraction of your total life because you haven't lived as long. So if you were millions of years old, would things seem to happen faster for you because you had lived for so long and 1 hour comparatively is little time at all?

That could be terrible. Like in heroes where they shove the immortal guy into a coffin and bury him.
That'd suck.

i voted i'd rather die because, after so many years you'd end up praying to die. and plus you'd still be alive going through the most unpleasent things, i.e entering a black hole or something.

Die when my time comes.

Living forever would still mean getting old forever.

You thought old people were gross at 90 - think about at 90 x 10^42 (okay, 9.0 X 10^43 is more proper, but doesn't have the same effect).

Edit:
Especially if it was quantum immortality style. Just having weird luck over and over would get me pissed off eventually.

I agree, I'm only 19 and it feels like everything is going by so much faster than before. It really sucks...

Wait, how does the brain work in this thing then?
I mean after about 80/90 years the brain starts to fall apart in lots of people. That's why as people live longer we see more and more dimensia.
