I'm looking for a good acoustic-electric guitar and I saw this one. It has a lot of great reviews, but I think I'd trust you guys more.

So is this a good guitar for $300? Or could I get a better one?

I guess my price range would be $200-500.

Uhh....could you define what that is? I'm not sure if that's a model number or something.....

Well, for $300 you get what you pay for. It's all laminate, and the electronics probably won't be anything to brag about. Go to this LINK. It's the Guitars <$300 thread. The first couple of pages are all great guitars, and most come in an A/E version for <$500

Yeah I was looking through it and by the 12th page, there wasn't a lot of acoustic electric recommendations, so I kinda gave up haha.

Like I said, there aren't many A/E's posted in there, but most of the guitars in that thread have an A/E counterpart for about $100 more than the price posted in there for the pure acoustic. For instance, the Takamine G340SC has an A/E brother, the Takamine EG340SC. Note the "E" specifying that the guitar has electronics.
