Hi guys, so I'm looking to buy an acoustic for strumming rhythm and stuff like that. I'm gonna be using it for recording, although I don't have a big budget for it. Around like $400 USD. So my question is, which way to record acoustic is better? Acoustic-Electric to preamp or mic up a acoustic?? Also, some recommendation will be awesome. THanks

In your price range, I would suggest an acoustic with no electronics. You will get a better sounding guitar for the value, and it'll sound fine on recordings.

this. Try to get an all solid if possible in your $ range.

I like guitars, running, and math.

With a decent Mic setup you I find you can get a much better recordig quality than any electro-acoustic. my old sound engineering media teacher used to like batter anyone who owned one haha
