I'm not really sure if this is the right place for this, but what is a good tuning for blues? I don't really know much about the different types that the guitarists I like use, but does anyone happen to know the tunings Son House and Robert Johnson used?

some people like SRV would tune to E-flat, but standard is pretty much the norm from blues

I can't say for sure what tuning either of them used, but I know E-standard is good with blues scales, also Eb-standard works. Also consider D-Modal (lo-hi) D-A-D-G-A-D

Well like has been said Standard tuning was the norm for picking and open tunings for slide. Just google "open tunings for guitar" if interested in the slide option. However it all depends on the player you wish to sound like. Players like albert king would often tune below standard to say C to allow them to bend thicker gauge strings easier.
