In your opinion, are songs or exercises a better way of improving physical skill.

I'd like to make a practicing schedule to better use my time during the week and if exercises can give me more "bang for my buck" so to speak then I would just spend my time doing them instead of learning someone elses songs.

I've been thinking of incorporating a loop of Freepowers four week exercise plan.

You should devote time to both.

For physical skill, exercise and scales are going to get you where you want.

But application is where motivation comes from.
