what nut do i buy?
im going to have a stop bar,so no lubricated nuts (inb4 penis jokes )
should i just get a gibson style blank?
it seems the biggest one (dimensions)
or will i regret it because i'd have to shape it so much?

or the strat? it seems almost the same as the nut on my current guitar...

this is for a build by the way..
Just call me Julius, J, etc.

What neck are you using? Are you building it as well?

In that case it is up to you. If you are wanting sustain though, I'd go with bone or tusq. The gibson style nut-slot would probably be what your making.

Bone, Tusq, or Graph Tech.

Whether or not you get a Gibson-style, or Fender-style nut depends on how you make your neck.

but i wont be using a tremolo...only bends and vibrato's
i think bone would work fine

it has for centuries!

Yeah, bone will be fine, but a black nut may look better on your guitar, I don't know.
