I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

if you really want to learn, I would consider Skitzo by Adam Nitti a wicked song.

it has a really cool swept intro, that unlike most crappy guitar sweeps, refrains from sounding like an Atari game on fast forward.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

OMG MAN! I LOVE BASS SWEEPING!
And i actually find it easyier on guitar, closer fretts/ stings easy muting.
Also look up some protest the hero songs, some of them have almost like sweeping only its all done with tapping, like in palms read.

Classical thump has kinda like sweepin only hammer plucked.

I think thats all the sweeping songs i know, i dont know many with REAL sweeping, try writing your own. I wrote a few myself with sweeping, i think i have a demo up on my page with it ?

I think you'll have to come up with your own. for example, try going Em, D, C#, D, Em (as chords)
