What kind of pedal do you guys think is best for classic rock. I'm thinking of sounds like deep purple, ac/dc, cream...

i was thinking of the fulltone ocd. you guys think that would work?

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

The Fulltone, either OCD or Fulldrive, modded Tubescreamer, those sorts of things. Lots of times back then it was the gain straight outta the amps, though.

I have a fender hot rod deluxe that was handed to me as a gift. that's why i'm wondering if I can get a pedal that can help achieve that sound.

If all you had to go on was the forum you'd think a Decimator could cure noise caused by dodgey stage lighting and restock the ocean's population of sperm whales
