Best. Movie. Series. Ever.
My favorite movie ever.

I can probably recite the entire first film word for word.

I like all the movies, but the last one kinda sucked and didn't fit in with the others. Too far fetched and too much retarded bull****. Computers can't do that ****. It's like Independence Day when they hacked in a alien space ship with a ****ing laptop from the 90s.

What's with all these old action movie threads? Live Free was a good action movie, but John wasn't even in his character.

die hard 3 was way better than 2

2 had a different director. 1 and 3 had the same director.

I think for me it's 3, 1, 2, 4. The first three are very close though, 3 and 1 could switch easily for me.

WOOHOO! People appreciating Die Hard. Damn this movie is total badass. I think 4 was alright...just abit toned down. Other than that, my fave of all time is always Die Hard 1 and 3. C'mon! Sam Jackson's in 3!

4 was my favourite!

I'm sorry, the correct answer was Die Hard 1 and 3 are the best, better luck next time.

Correction, Die Hard 1,2, and 3 were the best. I wouldn't consider 4 to be even part of the Die Hard series.

live free or die hard was pretty ****in awesome IMO. Not as bad ass as the one where it's xmas and he's running around in the office building pwning random russian thieves or anything, but it definitely had it's brutal fight scene moments. Like where he beats the **** out of the guy and throws him down the stairs and then pretends to shoot him at point blank over the walkie talkie, or when he beats down that annoying japanese chick.

It definitely has it's good points, its just hard to stand up to true classics. Plus all the the good scenes were spoiled in the trailers. If I hadn't already seen the car thing in the tunnel on TV I would have **** my pants, because that, my friend, is awesome.

Die Hard is the greatest action movie of all time

Bruce Willis + Alan Rickman = awesome

haha that scene was awesome but even I had to admit that it was completely retarded. i mean he like gets shot and then somehow launches the 2 ton police cruiser into the air, perfectly aimed at a helicopter and jumps out of the car (which is moving at like 80+mph) and somehow survives... wtf? lol

still insane though.

he is fucking john mcclane. that is just what he does.

^I was talking about the car rolling over them, but that part is awesome too. It's John McClane though, jumping out of cars is like childs play for this guy.

PS Robert Patrick is in Die Hard 2, he's one of the "painters"

Robert Patrick: "A sitting duck" *bang*

ok ok, i had to copy this from IMDB cause i coupel exactly remember the whole thing...but it is classic:

Zeus: Now, where you goin'?
Dexter: School.
Zeus: Why?
Raymond: To get educated.
Zeus: *Why*?
Dexter: So we can go to college.
Zeus: And why is that important?
Dexter: To get es-pect.
Zeus: RE-spect. Now, who's the bad guys?
Dexter: Guys who sell drugs.
Raymond: Guys who have guns.
Zeus: And who's the good guys?
Dexter: We're the good guys.
Zeus: Who's gonna help you?
Raymond: Nobody.
Zeus: *So who's gonna help you*?
Dexter: We're gonna help ourselves.
Zeus: And who do we not want to help us?
Dexter, Raymond: White people.
Zeus: That's right. Now get on outta here. Go to school.
#35
^Classic, the next few lines are great as well

*from memory*

"Uncle, you better come here"

"What is it?"

"There's a white man in the street"

"I seen one"

"Not like this"

"Call the police, tell them someone's about to get killed....And get your butts to school!"

Man, that's hard. Maybe the part where Hans reads Karl's dead brother's shirt.

For me, it's a tie between the first one and With A Vengeance. Those are definitely the best two, though the others aren't bad by any means.

anyone else want in on this still?

McClane: You know this guy Simon we're talking to?
Zeus: Yeah.
McClane: I threw his little brother off the thirty-second floor of Nakatomi Towers out in L.A. I guess he's a little pissed off about it.
Zeus: Wait a minute. You mean to tell me I'm in this **** cause some white cop threw some white asshole's brother off a roof?

The whole Die Hard series is one of the best action movie series ever made.

John McClane owns in every aspect.
