i found a Washburn MG-74 on CL for 350. it looks pretty sweet and ive always liked Washburns, but i was wondering about the LFR. Its a Washburn 800-S Tremolo. Does anyone know about tuning stability and overall quality, and also where i could find a whammy bar that would fit? it doesnt come with one

this is absolutely, 100% correct.
For example, Dave Mustaine has a signature coffee mix.

from what im seeing its not bad of a guitar, not the best. Might be better to buy it and put a new pickup in it. See if you can get it for a little bit less, like 300-325$.

I have the same trem on my Washburn KC-40V. Its over 20 years old and the trem is still in an abusable condition even if all the chrome plating has started to peel.

Dont take my word as gospel but I heard these units were made for Washburn by Schaller so the quality is there. One of the few LFRs that are good.

No need for new pickups. Bridge: SD Custom Custom, Mid: SD Custom Hot, Neck: SD '59. But i think i still might try to talk him down on the price though, but its starting to look like a purchase in my near future
