Just getting ready to enjoy the last moments of my weekend by listening to some tunes, when, I click eject on my ipod, look at the screen to see it says "aed", oh no big deal huh? Well I unplugged the Ipod, heard a weird click sound, and looked at the screen with sheer disappointment, confusion, and dismay....

no songs
no artists
no playlists
no albums

Nice beaver.

at least it didn't break.

EDIT: Or a murderer could have come in and killed you family and you would have had to go on a murderous rampage after the killer.

You might be able to get those back, look for something called Podsalvage, or something like that.

SORRY BRO!

Re-sync?
Or did it take the music off your computer too?
If so, I restarted my computer and they were back on after the reboot. Not sure if that will help for you.

I'm impressed.

My iPod has cleaned itself out once before too, I'm still missing quite a few of the bands/albums I used to have but you get over it. Mine wiped itself just after my computers hard drive crashed too so count yourself as lucky.

I fail to see how this can't be solved by simply plugging it back into the computer and leaving it for 20 minutes.

I don't have half of the 5000+ songs that were on my Ipod 5 minutes ago on my new computer.
Nice beaver.

E-mail Apple and bitch at them. Thats what I did and I got everything back that I had. Just let them know what you lost and basically tell them you just want what is rightfully yours. It worked for me.

EDIT: Next time, back everything up to discs.

You know what REALLY sucks though...
I have an working iPod with music any everything... But I lost the power chord somewhere........ I've been iPodless for the past 2 months or so... I still have trusty iTunes though

Anybody think of Strong Bad when they entered this thread? "I'm on a rampage, a READING rampage."

Holy ****, yes. I still remember playing that followed by a few rounds of Clayfighter 63 1/3.
