i got a performance to do tomorrow and i need a song.

i know its last minute but i cant seem to choose one.

due to time it must be easy and must sound good when played on its own.

not just simple 3 chords all way through but not dream theatre lol.

any suggestions.

Wonderwall (Oasis), Thinking About You (Radiohead), Viva La Vida (Coldplay), I Cum Blood (Cannibal Corpse).

EDIT:

Thought of another couple.

Your Body Is A Wonderland (John Mayer), Knockin' on Heaven's Door (whatever version, but Bob Dylan's would be the best).

Feeder - Suffocate
Elliott Smith - Twilight
Any Nick Drake songs

These are probably better for acoustic.

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel

Trust me man, it's Smoke on the Water. Deep Purple only wrote one song.

Is it a solo performance, what kind of music are you into, what is your skill level, are you a virgin...wait scrap that.

if its tomorrow just do Holiday by Green Day - powerchords and a small easy solo.
Do you remember when we were young,
And you wanted to set the world on fire?
Well I still am,
And I still do.

My band needs a singer!

"A Lack of Color" - Death Cab For Cutie
"I'm Looking Through You" - The Beatles
"Midnight In Her Eyes" - The Black Keys
"Listen to the Music" - The Doobie Brothers
"Violet" - Hole
"Flake" - Jack Johnson
"Winner's Blues" - Sonic Youth

Those songs are fairly easy to play and some of them sound harder than they actually are. I'm assuming you're singing these songs as well, because I'd give some other songs that just sound good on only guitar if you're not doing vocals.

cats in the cradle by harry chapin, or the ugly kid joe version, aweseom song, fairly simple. Other than that, second through the fire and flames acoustic, don;t really like dragonforce but it would be cool to hear!

sorry. yeah it is a solo performance. i was gonna get my mate to sing for me as well but he too stoned to try get him to do anything but write his libertines style stuff.
im into everything really. fave bands are stuff like gnr, motley a7x, sum 41 etc but i like everything. pop punk, punk, rock, metal, glam, metalcore, stuff like oasis, greenday, u2 and that.

my skill level. id say is intermediate. i can play i know that. i cant do really fast solos or not accurately, i dont know **** loads of scales. id love to be able to but it doesnt interest me enough to learn it.

from looking through some suggestions i was thinking originally knockin on heavens door, but wonderwall or greenday could be done. i know them anyway, who doesnt.

anymore? keep them coming. might come up with something i never thought of.

Through the Fire and the Flames on an Acoustic.
It isn't just three chords, nor is it Dream Theatre, therefore it fits your criteria.

You're welcome
