hello

I just finished the new build for the music store located near my school

It has 25.5" scale with two coil splitting humbuckers. The body is made of Campha Laurel with a maple neck (rosewood fretboard).

Here are some pics of start to finish:

mmm campha laurel

painted on with a brush =)

the wood looks a lot prettier in real life, silly camera

ready to take to shop, and final result

Wow, that just looks amazing. What sort of tuners and electronics did you put in it? How does it sound?

That... that may be the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen in GB&C. Kudos to you, sir.

Although, if it were my design, I would have skipped the Tele control plate. But that's just me.

Jesus, man, it's beautiful... if I had some spare cash, I would actually comission you to make one for me

Thanks for the comments guys

I am using Gotoh Tuners and Gotoh Electronics (with a push/pull pot for coil split)

The Tonerider Rocksong pups sound really nice. The sustain is also great to my pleasant surprise.

Did you build the neck too?
Looks very nice.

you made a beautiful guitar for a music shop yet you put some strat neck on it?

I wouldn't say this is good enough for a music shop imo...

yeah its only my second build, so i was a bit worried about making my own neck. I really like the feel of the strat one i used and it was just to be on the safe side i guess.

I am planning to make my own necks in the future

there is a neck tutorial coming soon, whenever i stop being a lazy ass, or making crazy 27 fret necks.

^ I can't wait.

But you should finish with the ridiculous shred machine as well. I heard somewhere that shredding makes you feel better

The wood looks great. I like that you kept the design simple and elegant. I also like the body shape, but would prefer the output jack on the top.
