I personally find the green standard tortex picks to the best for metal.

I have tried many picks such as dunlop nylons, dunlop ultex, fender celluloid, and other gauges of tortexes.

Strings: Same Story as ^^^^^^^^^^^^ I prefer daddario xl the blue packet. 10-46

if Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) used to use these picks for a long time then im sure they will suit me just fine.

Some pretentious asshole used to do that too, minus the little dividing line. Kinda like how some people put their name at the end of every post before their signature.

I generally use Dunlop Nylon .60mm or Tortex .60mm picks

Strings... well... usually it's Ernie Ball Power Slinky .11-.46's in standard, but my Epi Paul actually the bottom 6 of the "Slinky Regular 7 string" set (so it's .13-.56) tuned to standard, my Epiphone Strat has a set of Slinky .12's, but I don't think it's the "Not Even Slinky" set, but that's the only .12's I can find anymore, in standard. My acoustic is strung up with D'addario EXP Mediums (.13-.56) in standard. Oh, and on my basses, it's Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys (.45-105)

Yeah, I like my strings thicker.

I remember that, it was wierd, because his "sig" would change slightly everytime he posted and then it would be quoted and it really confused me.

Why is it so hard to believe....

I don't use that for my guitar...it's part of my studio setup...most of it except for the XT Pro doesn't get used much anyways.

Because I find it hard to believe that someone who joined yesterday, and was born in 1991, has the time or the money to invest not only in a rack set-up, but studio time as well.

I used to use that exact same set-up, except I was in a G'n'R cover band at the time no more, thank God.

LOVE THE PURPLE SLINKYS! That sounds dirty, but I gotta chime in on your post, those are my favorite strings.

I bought that stuff so I don't need studio time...my guitar is not my main instrument...and mostly what I do work for are recording local groups and events, and audio mastering. Some of it I got for cheap (dbx and Behringer $50 ea.) others I bought (Mackie ($300), Monitors ($400, and the XT ($400) ). Thats only a month's paycheck....and why am I explaing myself to you....believe what you want....meanwhile I go back to work finishing this CD....
