Anyone know of any?
im feeling like some mellow instrumental songs with a guitar on clean soloing and what-not
#2
There would probably be a fair few Explosions in the Sky songs on clean the whole way through.

However they don't tend to 'solo' at all.

The Childsnatcher - Annotations of an Autopsy. Don't be fooled, it's a nice song, completely clean guitar and no terrible vocals

I GoogleImage'd "shrug" to find an epic pic for this post. Instead I learned that a "shrug" is also an article of clothing.

My mind? Blown.

Pretty much any Aussie surf stuff from the 60's. The Atlantics and other such bands, pretty sure UG has a good tab for Bombora.
#9
Are people saying clean is something bad?
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

White Summer - Black Mountain Side by Led Zeppelin, it's got a very Indian vibe to it, and is very mellow.
Haven't you heard?

It's a battle of words

Also all of Opeth's Damnation.

Thats great but he asked for instrumental songs, so that counts out the whole of that album except Ending Credits and Weakness, but Weakness has no guitar in.

So just Ending Credits...

im suprised no one said 40 rods to the hogs head by tera melos.

matter o fact most of their songs are clean and ALL instrumental. cept the newer stuff
#27
Uh, most jazz is traditionally played with a clean tone. Check out some Kurt Rosenwinkel. He uses distortion sometimes, but he generally plays clean.

Really? Nearly 30 posts and no-one's said Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath?

Yeah, it's got lyrics, but take those out and fill in the spaces with leads or sound effects or something.

I think I win.

Marty Friedman does a few really awesome mellow clean pieces.
I'd reccomend Valley of Eternity, Lovesorrow, Escapism and Night.
