I am quite impressed with the Vox Night Train NT15 amp. But am unsure if it works well with pedals/mfx.

Anybody able to help me on this?

That's a pretty cool looking amp. Should work pretty well on most amp models. My Vj handles them pretty well. With the exception of the Jazz chorus type models. I prefer a PA for those.

For home practice a PA/Speaker kinda equipment would be quite impractical right?

Not at all. I only bought the thing because someone suggested 1 over an acoustic amp when I was looking for my acoustic. Turned out to be 1 of my better purchases. With the 6 channels all my friends can plug in when we they come over and being able to a/b between it and my Vj I get some serious versatility. Glad i bought it.
