mmm, trash metal. is that like a metal version of banging on a trash can?

looks like on MOP they used mark IIc's. id check out some of the other mesa mark series as well if you cant find one of those. old jcm800s and 900s are also associated with thrash. im not really current on high gain amps, so i guess that hilarious video will have to satisfy you for now.

Think BIG!

oooohh yeah

One little voice is... BIG"

Today at lunch me and two of my friends were recounting all our old memories of Doug, like when Doug writes that "Patty you're the Mayonaise for me, woah woah woah song." LOL

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Lars Ulrich must be a Doug fan. Sounds a lot like the drums on St Anger to me.

If all you had to go on was the forum you'd think a Decimator could cure noise caused by dodgey stage lighting and restock the ocean's population of sperm whales

you'll have to look used, the Only mark series they make is the Mark V, because when they ake a new one they get rid of the old ones
the Mark V is to expensive
I'd look at Jcm800's
but look at other stuff because with out both those amps( Mark II C+ Pre & JCM800 power) you won't get the exact tone
the engl Blackmore might be good, or just a Marshall JCM800 maybe the Kerry king sig, isnt the only difference a Built in boost & noise gate?

look for a mark iv or v
those are the easiest ones to find, both can do metallica tones pretty easy

Master of Puppets =/= old thrash metal tone. I think it must have been one of the first modern sounding thrash tones.

If you want proper old thrash tone, get a Tiny Terror, Peavey Windsor, or preferably the real thing - a JCM 800.
A metal band?

A Guitar with an LFR > Korg Pitchblack > Behringer EQ > Hardwire CM-2 Overdrive Boss SD-1 > Hardwire CR-7 Chorus>
Orange Tiny Terror >

My other amp can run Crysis
