Hey, just wondering what would be a nice cab to buy that doesn't go over $400.

Preferably 1x12.

I don't have an amp head yet, but just wanted to see what would be available.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

What kind of head are you looking at and what kind of music would you be playing?

I like Orange cabs, myself.

Avatar and Vader are also popular around here.

Everyone that posts on this thread will want to know a few things:
- What type of music are you planning on playing?
- What amps are you looking at buying?
- What sound are YOU looking for?

Not trying to be an a$$ hole, just trying to further help you.

For the music you play, I'd say anything with Eminence Red White & Blue speakers is a good bet, both sound and price-wise.

You'd be suprised at how well-voiced some of Peavey's speakers are, also. Good price.
Tastes like chicken, if chicken was a candy.

snag an avatar 112 wide cab, $250 plus $30 for shipping, not a bad deal at all.

Just checked it out, and I think you can choose what speakers you want it to come with?

i.e greenbacks, vintage 30's, hellatone 30 etc

if its for the classic 30 i wouldnt get the Vintage 30, a midsy speaker with an already over mid amp dosent work well.

the G12H30 i heard is best with this amp.

Can't help until we know what amp you intend to put through it. Speaker rating has to be greater than the amp for fairly obvious reasons.
I'd build my own with a Crescendo and blast any amp through it but it takes a little bit of woodworking skill.
I pick up my guitar and play

Well I was thinking of purchasing a blackheart killer ant head, or a handsome devil, but that's just a thought for the moment.
