means someones saved that post for something that they'll edit in later

thanks, but that doesn't clear a whole lot up

what could they possibly edit in it that they need to save it for???

Yup. And 80% of them don't come back.

EDIT:

Yeah, but I think reserving is pointless as everyone will be checking the new posts, NOT the ones that are apparently "Reserved".

ahh, ok

but i still don't get why you would wanna reserve a thread

why not just come back later and type something???

It's a jerk move to try to be the first poster, even if you don't have anything to say at the moment. It also makes people mad, apparently.
I have:
Acoustic B200H+B115 cab, Schecter Stiletto Custom 4, Rondo Fretless, Boss EQ-7.

Some men just want to watch the world burn. And they work at Behringer.

OHHHHHHH, ok

thanks samskii

EDIT: youse can lock this thread now if you want (i know, its good grammar aye???)

I use it now and then when I'm posting pics in a thread I made...you can only post so much in each entry, so as soon as I post the first entry and pics...i make the next post (or two or three) say reserved until I can get back and add the pics. Just so all the posts with pics are together and not separated by posts by other people. But in your case, it sounds like somebody was just going to come back later and write something.

so its like saying i'll reply to this subject later???

and that way you don't miss the change of subjects??

If a thread is posted that you know a fair bit on or have a great idea for, but are a little busy at the time to go off about posting it, reserving it ensues that people will actually read your post, because it a thread is longer than 3 pages long, no pages get read by new posters other than the first and last page.

That's all I've ever done it for anyway.

I reserve just so that a thread that Is frequently updated can be found in the list of thread I posted in. Just so that I don't have to look around for a thread when I really wanna check it out.

Or for the reason that ^^people mentioned.
