Why does everyone have one and why are they always the top seller online? It puzzles me how big brand names like fender, peavey, and marshall aren't there instead. Please explain and profuse thanks to you in advance.

Roland Cubes are one of the best, cheap, modeling amps in the market right now.

Fixed

Roland is the parent company of Boss, which is probably the most widely known effects maker.

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

And the Roland JC120s have the cleanest clean tone available on the market right now.

They're cheap and alot better than spiders,
I think once the Vypyrs been around for a few years it'll catch Up
They own Boss, which I'm sure makes them more money than there own amps
and their jazz-Chorus amp has amazing cleans

I don't personally know anyone who owns a Roland amp and I don't think they sell that well on Musicians Friend.

The Roland Cube is a good modelling amp for the price.
The Roland Jazz Chorus has great cleans.
That's about it.

I think theyre crap, Valvetronix are better imo.

the only Roland I liked was the JC-120. But even that was a bit lifeless.

I agree that the Valvetronix is better and that cubes are a bit overrated.
But for the JC, it doesn't sound lifeless at all, it has one of the best cleans, they sure are a bit sterile, maybe too much for some poeple, but its an SS amp, not a tube modeler, and its got his own sound. Oh yeah, and it has the most beautiful chorus I've heard.

ive owned a jc-120 and a gc-408 both had the best cleans ive ever used, roland rules for that. they also take pedals really well, better then any other amp on the market imo
so for someone who wants to use a crapload of pedals and have them sound liek they are supposed ot a jc-120 is a good choice

I came very close to buying a Cube 30 a few years ago. Price to tone to quality I think it's a pretty good offering for low cost SS amps. I liked it alot better then the Vox Valvetronics AD series (tried them all), but i liked the Vox DA 20 better still so that's what I ended up getting. had i not been able to try the DA that day The cube 30 would have been what i bought.

I think the Cube 20 and microcube are complete garbage. The Cube 30 or larger sound great for the money.

I think it deserves it's spot along with the VOX ADVT series, as being a great practise amp for a low price.
