Do
Not
do
Iron man. You will be panned. You will be regarded as non-serious and crappy.
What genre, and do you have any originals, and is it a fourpiece (2 guitars, bass, drums) or what?
#3
Highway Star is a winner, everyone will be pleased you're doing a Deep Purple song that isn't Smoke On The Water, plus I love the song!

Do more things similar to that, fast paced in your face rock, and then close it off with a singalong, such as Since You've Been Gone by Rainbow.

seven nation army, you need two guitars though cause jack uses open A tuning on the rythm and standard tuning on the solo

if you like sabbath do sweet leaf, awsome song
or nirvana songs, (other than teen spirit) they always get a good repitore

lf you really want to win play Sultans of swing. lts extremely hard to play but playing it live is amazing. My band played it at a battle of the bands and the crowd was cheering like we were the real Dire Straits. We schooled all the other bands.

Wow. I am assuming this is a high school BOTB, and those songs are old. Just my opinion. I'd have a tough time enthusiastically sitting through those, and I'm 40!

Pull something off the Guitar Hero game - I'd do Motley Crue. Shout At The Devil, or Looks That Kill, maybe?

or Killswitch Engage - My Curse.

I don't know what kind of skill your band has, so it's tough to suggest more.

Well I wasent really too into iron man but our drummer really want to play it. As for skill our drummer and bass player are amazing, I've been playing with these guys for like 2 years now. I play lead/rhythm guitar, I don't think I'm too bad but who knows:P, the other lead/rhythm guitarist and our singer are both new and don't have any experience playing live but they are both pretty awesome. Also we were thinking of maybe doing the trooper.

You could do War Pigs and add a bunch more drum fills for your rhythm section.
