shouldnt break a string but wont get it in tune. the second u remove the capo everything will go out of tune again and it wont stay in tune for very long at all. its best to remove the capo tune then re-apply it. if the strings are out of tune when you re-apply the capo back on its either that you innotation is out or that the capo is place slightly wrong.

If the guitar is in tune, but has slight detuning after putting the capo on, you can tune a stringor two, but try to get it in tune without capo first
