Hey my friend said he was having problems with his guitar, so he asked me to take a look at it. I've never worked with a floyd rose before and I don't know where to start. He said he stopped using the floyd rose and just used the tuners on the head and eventually it just lost tension and now he has bad action. I was looking at it and it's missing two of the five springs on the tremelo system so I was wondering if that was one of the problems. I really have no idea where to start but he was not going to pay anybody to fix it and I don't want to see this Pre-Fender Jackson go to waste. =[

Anybody have any thoughts on what went wrong?

Floyd systems only come loaded with three springs. None are actually missing.
