I think the first solo I learned was Guerilla Radio by RATM
It didn't sound nearly as cool, due to my lack of effect pedals and what not.

I like guitars, running, and math.

#12
probably warmness on the soul by a7x right side of the bed by atreyu and the intro solo to one by metallica. Learned them all about the same time don't remember which was first
#13
yeah i think my first was also smells like teen spirit...then i taught myself to play it behind my head because i needed to show off more and i was a huge tool....i was such a loser.....i wish i could back and punch myself in the face

the first legit solo i learned was probably the first solo in one, smells like teen spirit isnt even really a solo
#14
Haha mine was totally Bulls On Parade, but the first one with actual notes had to be Californication also. Honestly I don't remember it anymore. I think the one i learned after that was Whole Lotta Love.
#16

How can you consider that bridge at Smells like teen spirit a 'solo'?
Fender Jaguar -> Polytune -> Diamond Compressor -> Timmy -> OCD -> Big Muff -> Line 6 M9 -> Sonomatic Cheddar -> Spark boost -> Fender BDRI

I kid you not, it was "I Wanna Be Sedated" by The Ramones. I was just toying around, and I got the

just perfectly. It was music to my ears. Though I didn't feel accomplished in any way, shape, or form.

Stairway to Heaven. I remember working on it piece by piece for probably about a month, I had a lot of fun with that.

I think... maybe Fade To Black. Just the intro solo. Probably took me a while since I'm more of a rhythm player than a lead guitarist.

That I do, but Ramone plays the extra note just to add an extra shimmer to the amazing composition to make it even more sexy.

You're assuming that they played them properly.

Mine was You Shook Me All Night Long, but I'm guessing when I played it at the time it didn't sound all that spectacular.
One Sexy Canadian Man.

...and single too.

Zephyr Song by The Red Hot Chili Peppers was the first song I actually printed out the tab for, sat down, listened to the recording, and worked it out on guitar.

It was a magical experience
