So, I want to buy a cheap dual HB guitar for some fun and modding.
Which of the two would you recommend? I haven't had much experience with either, so some feedback on the quality of these would be immensely helpful.

Two choices are:
Michael Kelly Patriot Glory
Epiphone BB King Lucille OR Casino

Any other opinions welcome, using rig in my sig.

Thanks a lot!

If you want to mod something and are willing to spend that much (those aren't "cheap" guitars, the Lucille is 700 USD) then you should just build your own using parts from a company like Warmoth. They offer a lot more customization options and would be much better quality for not much more.

Depends on how you look at it

I'd prefer buying something already built, compared to buying off of Warmoth. And by mod, I mostly mean pickups/tuners, nothing drastic.

For example, the fretboard is beautiful on the Glory. I also don't think one can build/purchase a set neck guitar from them (Warmoth).

Ehhh.I don't really consider that modding since those are basic upgrades I do on nearly all of my guitars. When I think of modding I think of major changes to the body or things like scalloping and so on,that's why I suggested going with Warmoth since a body blank or unfinished guitar is much easier to work like that than a finished product.

If that's all you want to do then any guitar that's a solid chunk of wood and plays decently would work, since you'd just be swapping the likely bad stock pups for something else.

Yeah, I guess I should've mentioned that at first.

Regardless, has anyone played these models, and have any input on them?
