Hi, I bought a Vox AD50VT212 about a year ago I keep getting this high pitched squeal when the gain is up I thought it might be my guitar since I wired it myself but when I pull the jack out of the guitar the amp will still squeal. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Would be much appreciated.

Here are a few things to try before taking it in for repair. Have you tried cleaning ALL your input/output jacks with contact cleaner yet? Also, try and perform a master reset on the amp. You'll lose all your saved settings but this can sometimes remedy the problem. If neither of those work.....well I don't know. I've heard of a few people having similar issues.
