okay so here's the deal in need new bass strings for playing in drop c tuning what gauge and brand is the best for this tuning may be tuning to drop b but that doesnt matter if its a bit loose on that tuning.

I agree, but make sure if its a four string bass that the nut grooves are wide enough for the strings as the nut on my old bass broke when I put some heavy strings on it.

You don't want complications like this. But hopefully you already knew

the holes in my bridge werent wide enough for 110s when i got some...

Well I use 50-110's, but close enough. I can use them quite well for C Standard as well, but it flops a little, I like the clacking sound.
