hey guys
on my h-s-h guitar, i want to try something a lil different on the 5-way (fender) pickup switch
i want to be able to use both my humbuckers together, so i was thinking,

could i hook up my neck humbuck pickup to position 1, then bridge humbuck pickup to position 2 (3), and finally the single coil in position 3 (5)?
this would allow me to do both humbuckers together and one combination of the humbucker and single coil, right?

also if this works fine, i have the sh-2 and sh-4 with a cool rails, which pickup should i use (would sound better) with the cool rails?

thanks!

This sort of question belongs in GB&C, in the ultimate wiring thread. Not having seen the schematic of your guitar, I am guessing you swap the hot wires from the middle and bridge p'up over on the switch.
