Is there any copper or conductive shielding type tape that I can buy locally at radioshack/ace hardware/lowes/home depot or something?

To do it I just stick the tape in the pickup/control cavities and solder the pieces together and connect a ground wire correct?
i just finished trying out aluminum tape on the inside of my trashed/relic'd strat knockoff. i haven't put it back together yet, but i plan on doing it tomorrow morning. i've heard copper is better, but i'll let you know how mine works out!

copper shield tape that's grounded. heat shrink tubing, braided shields around the hots. the latter is used for long connections only, in most cases, it's just tedious.
