alright, so i got my pickup in (EMG 81), and when i plugged it in, it was very quiet on clean and when i got distored it was only picking up about half the distortion, (half the dicibles) can anyone tell me why this is?

Well, recheck all your soldering joints.
You must've done something wrong, otherwise you wouldn't have this problem right?

Try it with another guitar, see if it still happens.
If it does, it's the amp.
If it doesn't, it's most likely your wiring.
There's a chance you have faulty pickups, but it's far more common for it to be human error and a loose wire.
