Get another singer or be rhythm guitarist.

Not many people can do lead and sing at the same time, but if anything, practice. If you still can't do it, get your rhythm guitarist to do lead, get him to do it.
I've gotten a lot of LOLs in my time but I choose not to sig them to not look like a pretentious douchebag

Well Tbqh honest theres not loads you can do from what I can say. I think the easiest option is to practice or to do a different song. I've learned that you shouldn't really do a song if you know you can't do it yet.
Or try and get a singer who just sings whilst you play guitar.

Badly.

But anyways.... I used to play guitar and sing... my remedy?

Now I just sing

I'd throw a Marshall MG at him while he succumbs to tone killing gain.

Spend all $200 on M&M's, then find a friend with an acoustic, and fill the body with them. Why? Because you can.

Yeah i know what you mean i play lead and sing as well.My advice practice like hell i practice 8 hours a day on school days and 12-16 hours a day on weekends.Try singing while looking at the guitar while you play at first then after you can do that perfectly play the song and sing and dont look at the guitar and keep trying till you nail it.It takes a looooon gwhile for the harder songs sooo if you dont wanna spend so many time doing it then either play rhythm and sing or just sing.

Practice alot on it or if you cant get it choose an easier song. OR get a singer and you can just focus on your guitar playing.

Just practise, keep doing small sections in older of the song and master then each one by one as a group
