Since i've been on UG i've been learning little by little a lot of theory, and it's really making my playing improve in all areas. The one thing i have trouble with is figuring out all the notes along the fretboard quickly. So i decided to get a box cutter and cut into my old guitar all the notes on the fretboard. So far i've only got 2 strings done, but it's still pretty neat to have the notes engraved in on an old guitar to help practice things and get more familiar with it quickly.

Anyone else do something crazy like this to make them learn the notes on the fretboard quicker?

Lol no. It's not that hard to learn a scale in all positions and then learn the notes.
